First look: The new version of MailerLite is preparing to launch

The new MailerLite is coming soon! We’ve been working behind the scenes to develop a faster, more flexible version of MailerLite, which will launch on March 22nd.

Over the past 10+ years, MailerLite has evolved into an advanced email marketing software, offering tools beyond email like landing pages, websites, pop-ups, advanced automation, and a whole lot more. 

We added these features to enable more people to create and scale their businesses online. Our customers also needed more tools to evolve and keep their audiences engaged. This evolution continues to speed up, and we’re taking a giant step to prepare for the future. 

The new MailerLite was built from the ground up with a new UI and infrastructure that will enhance performance and enable us to add new features fast so you can adapt quickly to the digital-first world.

You’ve probably already noticed that your subscribers and customers are spending more and more time online to stay connected and conduct business. As this digital transformation accelerates, the new MailerLite will be ready with upgrades like:

  • Flexible infrastructure so we can add new features fast

  • New design layout, dark mode, improved overall UI flow, and more

  • Revamped reporting dashboard with more features to analyze campaigns

  • More integrations focused on e-commerce to help you drive more revenue

  • New mobile iOS app for creating, managing, and sending campaigns on the go 

  • New iPad subscriber app for collecting leads offline

  • Data-driven tools including Facebook custom audiences and multi-trigger automation

While we’re laying the groundwork for a successful digital marketing future with the new MailerLite, it's important to mention the current MailerLite, which we’re affectionately calling MailerLite Classic, will continue working simultaneously. 

Current MailerLite users will have an option to continue using the MailerLite Classic and transition to the new version when they’re ready. Starting March 22nd, all new account sign-ups will have access to the new MailerLite.

If it ain't broke don’t fix it. Those are wise words, and we completely agree. The current MailerLite works great and still delivers tremendous value. Throughout the years, we’ve added and updated new features to help people grow their businesses online. So why not keep updating the current version?

Technology is improving super fast and computing power is growing exponentially. As a result, your audience's online experience and how people use digital tools are rapidly evolving day by day.

We realized that the best way to prepare for a digital future was to build a new foundation from scratch that will adapt to new technologies faster. For those who are curious to learn more about our technical decisions behind the new MailerLite, our engineers will be sharing their work on the MailerLite Engineering blog. 


We created the new MailerLite to be future-ready. What does that mean for you? In short, the new version is designed to be more efficient, way faster, and longer-lasting. As your audience’s online behaviors evolve, you will be able to keep up by using the newest, most effective marketing features.

Faster, more efficient user experience

The first things you’ll notice are how fast it is and that the user interface (UI) looks different. Yes, it is more ‘modern-looking’, but that is not the reason it’s been updated. We set out to make it even more user-friendly. Because we use MailerLite every day for our own marketing purposes, we are always finding areas to improve and new ways to make the experience more efficient and enjoyable.

Now with more and more features at your fingertips, it was critical that we designed the UI to make it easy for you to find the right tools that work together to suit your needs. 

In addition to being lightning fast and intuitive, you’ll also notice some other upgrades like dark mode and a new dashboard. 

  1. Future-ready infrastructure: The new MailerLite has a technology stack designed to scale with the latest and greatest features as you scale your business. We have partnered with Google Cloud on a long-term deal, so we can provide the best experience to the customers.

  2. Reimagined user interface:  As we add more features and functionality, the new UI makes it easy to find and build what you need fast.

  3. Dark mode: You will now be able to work in dark mode!  Whether you prefer to work with low-light settings or want to reduce eye strain during long work hours, dark mode is your friend.

Updated features to enhance engagement

Your audience expects you to deliver relevant and engaging content every time. The new MailerLite includes more tools to help you optimize your campaigns from enhanced targeting and integrations to more reporting features and mobile apps.

  1. Reporting dashboard:  We’ve made some important reporting upgrades so that you can track all of your campaign performance metrics on one single dashboard. You’ll get an instant overview of your best-performing automations, signup forms, and website pages.

    When you see spikes or sudden changes in key metrics, like conversions or unsubscribe rates, you’ll be able to react quickly and make informed decisions. Or, go deeper into the reporting to see more details like performance based on selected time periods. And this is just the start! We plan to roll out even more reporting features after the launch.

  1. More advanced automations: We’re leveling up our automation tools with a few features that are coming soon like multi-trigger workflows so you can instantly react to a variety of subscriber actions, as well as predefined automation templates that let you create workflows quickly by simply filling in fields.  

  1. Facebook custom audiences: Take your Facebook advertising to the pro level! You will be able to sync your subscriber segments with Facebook’s 2.7+ billion users and show (or choose not to show) ads to your desired audiences.

  2. E-commerce integrations: We put more focus on e-commerce integrations starting with the release of a MailerLite E-commerce API. You’ll now be able to connect any store to your MailerLite account with more functionality like abandoned cart automation, post-purchase emails, order tracking, and product import. 

  3. New mobile iOS app: Built from the ground up, the new iOS app enables you to create, send and manage campaigns on the go. And the new iPad subscriber app is perfect for collecting leads either online or offline at conferences and events.

We often hear feedback from our customers that MailerLite is one of the best-priced marketing platforms for the value. This is important to us, as we believe that pricing should be straightforward, fair, and affordable for all businesses. That continues with the new version of MailerLite!

We recognized that each customer is at a different stage of their online marketing journey, and subscriber count doesn’t always define the types of features and functionality that you will need for your business.

This is why the new MailerLite will offer 3 paid plan options— Growing Business, Advanced, and Enterprise—each with a selection of features that are relevant for different stages of your business:

  • Growing Business plan includes all the necessary email marketing tools, automations, and templates, along with the same Website features currently available in our SitesPro add-on. This plan is perfect for when you want to start monetizing your business and earn income by selling digital products or paid newsletter subscriptions. 

  • Advanced plan is for those who are driven to grow their project or business quickly using all the latest marketing tactics. It’s our best value plan because it comes with all of our email marketing and website building tools including the most advanced features like multiple-automation triggers and Facebook custom audiences. And 24/7 Live Chat customer support will ensure that you have all the answers when you need them. It’s our gold-standard plan designed to help you succeed!

  • Enterprise plan is for larger companies looking for custom services including success managers, dedicated IP & deliverability consultation, and design support. If you are interested in learning more about Enterprise, you can contact us.

We will also keep our Free plan for up to 1000 subscribers with all essential features that young companies and entrepreneurs need to start and scale their businesses online.

There's one more exciting update. With the new MailerLite, your account will automatically upgrade to match the subscriber count as your list grows. You can rest assured that your campaigns will get delivered to every subscriber without interruption!

For current customers

You will continue to enjoy all of your favorite features using MailerLite Classic and your pricing will remain the same (Free and Premium without additional tiers). The two MailerLite versions will be working simultaneously and meanwhile, we’ll be working to introduce migration tools soon for those who want to switch to the new MailerLite.

Along with the launch, we will also share a comprehensive FAQ page that will answer the most essential questions.

One important note to all Free account customers: If you want the option to upgrade your Free plan to a Premium plan and lock in the current pricing on MailerLite Classic, you must upgrade before March 22nd.

For new customers

Starting March 22nd, everyone who signs up for a MailerLite account, including new accounts created within MailerLite Classic, will be on the new MailerLite version.
