MailerLite now lets you turn your AI tools into a personal email marketing assistant

We are thrilled to announce that our innovation group, MailerLite Labs, has released the beta version of our Model Context Protocols (MCP) server, which allows you to connect an AI tool to your MailerLite account, turning it into your personal AI assistant.
This is a huge advancement—not to mention an incredible time saver! Instead of digging through reports to analyse different campaigns, you can just ask your AI tool to do the work. Tasks that previously took hours of your time, now take seconds.
At MailerLite, we’re focused on making artificial intelligence accessible to all our users and truly useful for your email marketing. This new development is a huge step in that direction. And we’ve made it super easy for you to connect your AI tool with just a few clicks!

What are Model Context Protocols (MCP)?
MCPs are a new technology standard, which is being adopted by the major AI companies to revolutionize how businesses like yours can interact with their marketing data.
Think of an MCP as the USB port for AI tools.
In the same way you plug in a flash drive, a keyboard, or your phone into a standard USB port to exchange information, the MCP allows AI to securely plug into other tools and data sources.
Currently, AI models have a knowledge cut-off date, meaning they don't know what happened yesterday. MCP solves this by giving the AI a live connection to your current data in MailerLite, essentially turning the AI tool into an expert of your email marketing campaigns.
It’s important to note that not all AI tools currently support Model Context Protocols. We anticipate that all AI tools will be supported in the coming months. Discover more about how to connect with the AI tool you use in our documentation.
The ChatGPT plans mentioned above currently offer limited MCP server support through the “search” and “fetch” actions when using Deep Research mode.
This means the tool can access and analyze your subscriber and account data, but can’t perform actions in MailerLite.
Here’s what you can now do in MailerLite
Once you connect your AI tool to MailerLite, you can start asking questions and giving it tasks. Ask it to craft and schedule campaigns, create new groups, or analyze campaign performance. You’ll have your own personal AI email marketing assistant that handles the work for you—in a fraction of the time it currently takes.
Here are a few examples of what you could ask right now:
"Identify my top 3 performing newsletters from the last quarter and tell me what they have in common?"
"Show me a comparison of my weekly newsletters vs. my promotional emails this year. Which type gets more clicks?"
"Find my best-performing automation and tell me which email in the sequence has the highest drop-off rate."

Many services require you to run their MCP "locally." This often involves downloading software, running code on your own computer, and dealing with technical steps like generating API keys.
