How to turn on two-factor authentication (2FA)

Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a two-step login process that requires your username and password, as well as a unique code that is provided by any authenticator app, such as Google Authenticator, Authy, and Duo Security. This additional second step helps ensure that it is really you who is logging in to your account.

To set up 2FA in your MailerLite account:

  1. On the top right corner of the page, click on the dropdown arrow next to your profile name, and click on My profile.

  1. Scroll down to the Login details section and click on the On button for Two-factor authentication.

  1. Follow the instructions on the screen and link your authenticator app with your MailerLite account by scanning the QR barcode provided on your MailerLite profile page.

  1. Enter the code that has been generated on the authenticator app and then click Set up.

As a precaution, we provide a set of 10 recovery codes that you can download and use as keys to sign in when you can’t access your device. Just click on the green Download your recovery codes text to automatically download them. 

We highly suggest you save these codes in a Text file or even print them out and keep them in a safe place.
