Quiz blocks in your landing pages are a fun and engaging way to collect subscribers for your email list. Different from surveys, quizzes allow landing page visitors to guess the correct answer to your questions rather than providing subjective answers.
Step 1: Add a Quiz section
In your landing page editor, click the Sections tab on the left-side menu.
Scroll down to the Interactive category and drag the Quiz section into your landing page.
Step 2: Customize the Intro
The Intro is the first step of your quiz. It includes a button that moves visitors to the questions.
To customize it, click directly into the text area. Highlighting the text will reveal additional text formatting options.
If you’d like to remove the Intro page, click the trash icon using the settings on the right side.
Step 3: Add questions
To add questions to your quiz:
Hover over the Quiz section and click the Settings icon to reveal the additional options on the right.
Click Add a question and select your question type:
Multiple choice - A question with multiple answers.
Multiple image choice - A question with multiple images as answers.
Signup form - A signup form to collect the email addresses of the participants.
Customize your questions by editing the text directly on the quiz section. Answers can be edited in the right-side menu.
You can allow multiple responses or make questions skippable.
Step 4: Customize the results page
Once the visitor completes the quiz, they will see the Quiz results. Edit the page as you'd like to complete the quiz setup.
Rules
The Rules tab lets you control what happens after someone answers a question. You can use it to skip steps.
In the right sidebar, open the Rules tab and click Add rule.
Set up the rule:
In the Question dropdown, select the question you want the rule to apply to.
In Answer type, choose how the rule should trigger:
Is answered → triggers when the question is completed
Is answered with a specific answer → triggers only when a specific answer is selected. In Action, select Skip to item → jumps the user to another step in the poll.
In An item to skip to, choose the step users should go to.
Click Save.
When you’re finished, click Done editing to save and exit the landing page editor.
Track quiz responses
Once your landing page has been published, visitors can begin submitting answers to your quiz. To see these responses and track any new subscribers:
Click Overview for the landing page that contains your quiz.
In the Survey report tab, you can view and export general answer data, as well as see any subscribers who submitted their info via a signup form.
⚠️ Keep in mind that once quiz responses are submitted, it will no longer be possible to make additional changes to the rules or questions.
