Moving to the new Comfort and Power plans: What you need to know

Note: If you're a Legacy (Classic) user, please log in to your account to access the dedicated Legacy (Classic) Help Center.

In 2026, MailerLite's paid plans are being renamed and updated to give you more value, clearer limits, and features that match how you grow. If you're on a Growing Business or Advanced plan, this article explains the new plan structure and how it affects your pricing, upgrades, and renewals.

If you're on the Free plan, see Free plan update: What you need to know instead.

If you're already on the Comfort or Power plan, see how plans and billing work.

Here's what's changing for paid accounts:

  • Plans are renamed. Growing Business plan is now called Comfort, and the Advanced plan is now called Power.

  • Pricing is updated. Review new pricing here.

  • More features are unlocked. Comfort plan users now have access to the Preference center, Smart sending, AI writing assistant, and more. Check out the full list of features.

  • Feature use limits are updated. The Comfort plan provides up to 50 active automations, 10 forms, 10 landing pages and websites combined, and 5 digital products; the Power plan offers unlimited feature use.

  • Sending limits are updated. The Comfort plan’s monthly email limit is 10x the subscriber tier's ceiling; the Power plan offers unlimited monthly emails.

🔔 Important:

Paid accounts are not switched to the new plan structure on a single day. Starting August 13, 2026, each account moves to the new Comfort or Power plans at its next renewal date.

Renewals and automatic upgrades/downgrades before August 13, 2026 follow your current plan structure.

When manually upgrading/downgrading, the change happens immediately after purchasing the new plan.

Understanding the changes

Why were these changes introduced?

We want your paid plan to keep pace with your business as it grows, so we've reorganized features across Comfort and Power to make sure you have the right tools available.

Updating our plan structure also lets us keep performance and deliverability strong across the board, so as your audience scales, your account keeps running fast and reliably.

What is different about Comfort and Power plans compared to Growing Business and Advanced plans?

The Growing Business plan is now called Comfort, and the Advanced plan is now called Power.

The key tools available on each plan stay the same, but Comfort now unlocks more features, including the Preference center,Smart sending,AI writing assistant, and others.

Additionally, feature use and sending limits are introduced for the Comfort plan, whereas the Power plan remains unlimited.

What are the differences between the Comfort and Power plans?

Both the Comfort and Power plans include the tools to run effective email marketing campaigns with automations, newsletters, landing pages, and more.

The Power plan offers live chat support and unlimited feature use, while the Comfort plan includes email support and generous use limits designed to meet most needs. You can compare everything included in each plan on the pricing page.

When does my paid plan move to the new structure?

Paid accounts move to the new Comfort and Power structure gradually, not on a single day. Starting August 13, 2026, the change applies at your next renewal date or when the plan is upgraded/downgraded. Until then, renewals and automatic upgrades/downgrades follow your current plan structure.

If you upgrade or downgrade your plan manually, your plan is moved to the new structure immediately after purchasing.

What happens to automatic upgrades and downgrades during the transition?

Until August 13, 2026, automatic upgrades/downgrades keep your account on its current plan structure.

For example, if you're on the Advanced 500 subscriber plan and you pass that subscriber count, your account upgrades to the Advanced 1,000 subscriber tier, keeping the current plan structure. At the end of your billing cycle, your renewal moves your account to the new Comfort (for Growing Business) or Power (for Advanced) structure.

I changed my plan myself after June 16, 2026. Did that affect anything?

Any manual upgrade or downgrade made after June 16, 2026 moved your account to the current plan structure straight away. If you change your plan yourself, expect the Comfort or Power plan to apply from that point on, including the new feature use and sending limits.

Feature use limits

What are the feature use limits for each plan?

Each plan allows the following number of active items:

- Free plan - 3 automations, 3 forms, 1 landing page, 1 website, 1 digital product.

- Comfort plan - 50 automations, 10 forms, 10 landing pages and websites combined, 5 digital products.

- Power plan - Unlimited feature use.

Note: Campaigns are not affected by feature use limits.

How are the feature use limits calculated?

The limits apply to active items, not drafts. For automations, forms, websites, landing pages, and digital products, only active or published items are counted; drafts and unpublished items don't count. This means you can keep extra items in your account as long as they are not active beyond your plan's limit.

Do the new feature use limits affect me?

We've made sure the new structure reflects most of our customers' needs, so most accounts already fall within the new feature use limits.

That said, review your active automations, forms, landing pages, websites, and digital products to confirm you’re within the limits or upgrade your plan.

What happens if I exceed a feature use limit on the Comfort plan?

On the Comfort plan, reaching a feature use limit does not pause or disrupt anything you already have running. Your existing automations, forms, websites, landing pages, and digital products keep working.

However, you cannot create, activate, or edit automations, forms, websites, landing pages, or digital products until you get back under the plan limit.

Note: This is different from the Free plan. For more details, see: Free plan update: What you need to know.

What happens if I am exactly at a feature use limit, not over it?

You can still create and save drafts, but you cannot activate or publish anything new in that feature until you reduce your use or upgrade.

How can I review which feature use limits have been exceeded?

When your account exceeds a feature use limit, you'll see a pop-up listing each feature type you're over on, along with your current count against the limit. From there, you can view your plan options, or expand the pop-up to see every limit you're exceeding. To get back under the limit, head to the relevant feature page and deactivate items as needed.

How can I reduce my feature use to stay within the plan limit?

To reduce your active feature use, you can deactivate your automations, forms, websites, landing pages, or digital products.

- Automations can be deactivated using the Pause button available in the automation Overview.

- Pop-up and promotional forms can be deactivated using the Status toggle. Embedded forms can only be deleted.

- Landing pages and websites can be deactivated in the Overview page by clicking the Unpublish button.

- Digital products can be deactivated using the Status toggle.

I deactivated an automation, form, website, landing page, or digital product while over my limit. Why can't I turn it back on?

If you deactivate an item while your account is over a limit, you cannot reactivate it until you are back under your limit. Pausing an item does eliminate the restricted state on its own; you need to get your total active count under the limit before you can switch anything back on.

Sending limits

What are the sending limits for each plan?

Each plan allows the following number of monthly emails to be sent:

- Free plan - Up to 2,500 monthly emails.

- Comfort - 10x the ceiling of your subscriber tier each month. For example, if you have 5,000 subscribers, you’ll be able to send 50,000 monthly emails.

- Power - Unlimited*, fair use policy applies.

How are the sending limits calculated?

A "send" counts as one email sent to one subscriber. A single campaign sent to 500 people uses 500 of your monthly sending allowance. The limit resets each month on your account registration date if you have a Free plan, or on your billing date if you have a paid plan.

What happens if I reach the sending limit on the Comfort plan?

Once your sending limit is reached, you will no longer be able to send further mail until your plan is upgraded to the next tier. Automatic upgrades are triggered once the limit is exceeded, so you can continue sending campaigns and automation emails without interruption.

Plan upgrades and pricing

Does my feature use affect which new plan I will be moved to?

No, all Growing Business plan users will be moved to the Comfort plan, all Advanced plan users to the Power plan.

What happens to my plan if my subscriber count goes over the limit?

On a paid plan, your account automatically upgrades to the next tier when you reach the subscriber limit for the plan you're on. The same behavior remains on the new plan structure. You can review your plan size and adjust it under Plan and billing.

What happens to my plan if my monthly email volume goes over the limit?

Once on the new plan structure, your plan automatically upgrades to the next tier when you reach the sending limit of your current plan tier, so your campaigns and automations keep running. Auto-upgrades apply to both subscriber and sending thresholds.

What happens to my plan if my feature use goes over the limit?

Exceeding your feature use limits will not auto-upgrade your plan. However, you will not be able to create/activate/edit automations, forms, websites, landing pages, or digital products until you reduce your use or upgrade your plan.

Can I upgrade in the middle of my billing cycle?

Yes. Since we no longer offer the Growing Business and Advanced plans, you will be able to upgrade to the needed Comfort or Power plan tier. The system will calculate the pro-rated amount based on the unused time/money from your current plan, and the purchase will immediately move you to the new plan structure. You can change your plan anytime under Plan and billing.

Why was my plan renewed at a different price after August 13, 2026?

After the cutover date, renewals move to the new Comfort and Power structure. The renewal price reflects the new plan rather than your previous one.

Does my discount carry over to the new plan?

Yes, however, if it was plan-limited to the Advanced only, it will apply only to the Power plan.

Do you offer any discounts on the new plans?

Yes, you can save 10% year-round by purchasing an annual plan over a monthly one. Plus, nonprofits can save 30% off any plan at any time of year. If your organization is a nonprofit, check out our nonprofit discount page to learn more.

Plan downgrades and cancellations

Can I downgrade from the Power to the Comfort plan while I'm over the limits?

No, you will not be able to downgrade your plan while the limits are exceeded. When attempting to downgrade, you will be informed which items are over the limit. Once their use is reduced, downgrading will become available.

Can I cancel my paid plan and move to the Free plan while I’m over the limits?

Yes, you can cancel your plan while the limits are exceeded. During cancellation, you will be informed which items are over the limit and advised to get back under the limit before the plan expires to avoid account blocks. If the use is not reduced, once the account moves to the Free plan, email sending and subscriber import will be blocked.
