Integrating MailerLite with WooCommerce

Are you using WooCommerce? Using the Mailerlite - WooCommerce plugin, you can sync your customers to Mailerlite and track their purchases made from your emails.  

To install the MailerLite plugin for WooCommerce:

  1. In the WooCommerce sidebar, click Plugins followed by Add new.

  2. Click Add new.

  3. Locate the MailerLite WooCommerce Plugin and click Install followed by Activate.

  4. In the sidebar, click WooCommerce followed by MailerLite.

  5. You will need your API key. To find it, open your Mailerlite account and go to the Integrations tab.

  6. Locate the Mailerlite API section and click Use and then Generate new token.

  7. Enter a name for the token such as "WooCommerce" and click Create token.

  8. Copy the token and return to the Integrations page in WooCommerce. Paste your key in the API key box and click Connect account

  9. Select the Mailerlite group that your WooCommerce customers will be added to after they make a purchase and subscribe to your newsletter. 

  10. Click Start import.

Now when you go back to your MailerLite account, you see that when you go to Subscribers and then Fields, some new custom fields are automatically added. These are needed for the integration. You should also notice the option to create e-commerce automations (such as abandoned cart)  when you are inside the Automations editor.

Start by navigating to the Integrations section from the top-right dropdown menu. Find WooCommerce and make sure to turn on the integration. Then copy the API key.

Now go to your WordPress website and make sure you have WooCommerce installed. Go to the plugin area and look for MailerLite. Click the WooCommerce - MailerLite integration and install the plugin.

Once installed, click Activate. Now you can go to the WooCommerce settings within WordPress. Here is where you paste the API key. Then save the changes.
