Starting February 1st, 2025, we are required to apply Tanzanian Value Added Tax (VAT) to your MailerLite payments. You don’t need to do anything—this tax will be added automatically to your MailerLite invoices.
Please note that VAT is determined by the address on your billing information. If this notification doesn't apply to you, please update your billing address in your account to ensure you're not charged incorrectly.
To check or update your billing information:
Navigate to Account Settings.
2. Choose the Plan & Billing tab.
3. Select the Billing information page.
Certain groups, such as government entities implementing government-funded projects and non-governmental organizations operating under an agreement with the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania specifically for their respective projects, may qualify for an exemption of this tax.
If you believe you qualify for an exemption based on one of these categories, please send us a copy of your exemption certificate to taxes@mailerlite.com.
