A few months ago we released a Shopify integration update, and we are happy to announce that the WooCommerce plugin has the same advanced features to help you increase sales, including:
WooCommerce users can now get a lot more value from their email marketing and e-commerce integration. Let's break down the benefits.
If you don’t have the MailerLite WooCommerce plugin, the first step is to set it up at The Official WooCommerce – Mailerlite Plugin
For those who already use the WooCommerce plugin and want to implement the new features, you’ll need to update the plugin on your WooCommerce site with a Consumer Key and Consumer Secret. Check out the screenshot below to locate them.
If you have trouble, you can also find the information necessary to generate the key and the secret in these instructions.
Please note: Generating keys is not necessary if you don’t plan to use the new features. You will still be able to add a subscribe option at checkout, use the data sync feature and pre-built segments without implementing these keys.
After you set up the integration with this step, you should see a notification in your MailerLite Dashboard like the one below.
If the message does not appear, you can go to Integrations > WooCommerce to enable the integration.
Now you’re ready to start implementing your new e-commerce features. Let’s take a closer look at each feature in detail and see how you can create new email marketing campaigns that improve sales.

Your new sales tracking functionality within the WooCommerce plugin provides an overview of the performance of your email campaigns and automations related to your sales.
You can track the products and content that generate the most revenue, and optimize your messaging to keep the momentum going.
E-commerce businesses need to know how their marketing dollars connect to sales. Now you can see your return on investment of your email campaigns, which will help you make better decisions for your entire marketing plan.
There is an option in the Schedule step to enable or disable tracking of each campaign. When the integration is enabled, the checkbox is checked by default.
You can monitor your campaign performance and review the metrics in four places: your Subscriber tab, your Dashboard, and your Campaign and Automation reports.
Wouldn’t it be great to access all of your product details with a simple drag & drop while you’re building your newsletter? We think so too!
The new plugin includes a product import feature that streamlines your product details directly to your email builder. You can easily access all of your product images, prices, and links from your store.
After the WooCommerce plugin is activated, you will be able to search and automatically add products from your store to your newsletter within seconds.
Go to the section in your drag & drop builder named E-commerce Integration. Here you will find product blocks to insert into your newsletter. You’ll be able to choose up to three products.

Every customer is different. They have unique shopping behaviors and product preferences. The new plugin allows you to create email automations based on these behaviors so you can target customers with products that they want.

You can create several types of purchase-triggered email campaigns based on past purchases and future product interest.
When you know what your customers bought in the past, you can send highly-relevant emails with content and products that they are more likely to respond to.
* Please remember, you can only send these types of emails to customers who subscribed to receive marketing emails.
Start by going to the Automation section in MailerLite, creating a New Automation and selecting triggers from the E-commerce Automation tab.
Once you set your e-commerce trigger, you can start building your workflow. Choose between EMAIL, DELAY, CONDITION or ACTION steps.
When you create the email, you will find a new block called Product List under the E-commerce Integration category. These blocks are very handy when you need to display the product that the user just bought.
The Product List feature gives you the ability to insert the product details and create emails that target customers who bought specific products so you can follow up with them.
We created a bunch of new e-commerce templates for you to get the party started. As always, these templates are completely customizable to match your brand needs.
Also, make sure you take advantage of survey blocks to gain customer feedback. We include some examples in the templates below.
